The weather was abysmal and at the transition from late cold autumn to wet early winter. Flat grey light taking any appeal from photographs but I made some anyways. I think the EP-1 is great, small and light, ok images and video, sufficient manual control to be useful, even the recorded sound is not too bad. My only complaint really is the tendency to shift white balance all the time while in movie mode, will have to try setting it manually, hopefully this will prevent the color changes.

DSLR versus iPhone

So the iPhone wins hands down!

Still not convinced? Here is a brief summary of the advantages of the iPhone over any DSLR:

It edits the images with really great digital effects.
The IQ is so bad, it won’t ruin them by editing.
It posts the images directly to the internet together with text and all.
It plays music.
It costs almost as much as any good DSLR but is way cooler.

Now go sell your DSLR on ebay!

Some snapshots taken in Oslo with the Casio EX-F1, which has a convenient zoom range for this kind of shooting, but it is too slow, once it’s ready to take the picture, the subject has moved on.
